After more than 30 years together, I wanted this song to celebrate the person who makes life brighter, through every season, rain or shine.My wife and I have been together a long time, and we’ve realized that it’s the little things that matter most and would mean nothing without each other.We’re both from Louisiana, where rain is simply part of life. It’s something that connects us to home, and it became the inspiration for the idea of “Rain or Shine.” Because marriage isn’t always sunshine. There are rainy days, beautiful days, unexpected moments, and everything in between.I also drew inspiration from some of our favorite things, like sunsets, mountains, and those beautiful fall days that make you stop and appreciate the lovely breeze, where you are, and who you’re with."...you're the sunrise in my life, Rain or shine" sums up what the song means to me. My wife makes all of it matter.
